Given the overwhelming popularity of walking tours in major tourism hotspots around the world, it is remarkable that up until 2008, no one was doing it in Perth.

It was while they were walking around the city in 2007, that Ryan Mossny and Ryan Zaknich first realised that they were perfectly placed to fill this gap in Perth’s tourism market.

“It was a real ‘lightbulb moment’ for Ryan and I. We both love to travel and have done heaps of walking tours around cities in Europe. We realised that we could be the ones to bring it to Perth,” Ryan Mossny said.

Just six months later their company, Two Feet & a Heartbeat, was up and running, giving daily tours showing an “insiders’ view” of Perth.

And in the 12 years since, they have continued to grow - sharing Perth’s remarkable stories and history with visitors and locals alike.

How did your business relationship start with Yoswan?

Two Feet & a Heartbeat co-owner Ryan Mossny:

We have been working with Yoswan for six years.

I first met Yoswan Principal Zoe Kosky at a West Australian Heritage Awards event.

It was in this first conversation that Zoe told me about how cloud accounting software could streamline my business processes.

A few weeks later we met in an official capacity and I have been a client ever since.

What is your favourite part of your relationship with Yoswan?

The best thing about working with Yoswan is their flexibility.

They took on the huge job of migrating our company to a more suitable and efficient system to manage payroll, etc. They have also taken on a pile of other things over the years - from taking on more responsibility for the financial side of Two Feet & a Heartbeat to providing help and advice or even bouncing ideas off one another.

Another project where Yoswan exceeded expectations was when they helped us rectify where our employees leave wasn’t being processed correctly.

The project took about a month to go through and the entire Yoswan team came to the rescue.

Not only did they rectify the issue, but also created a written process of how to do it in the future so the same mistakes couldn’t happen again.

They also conducted a review to make sure everything had been recorded properly and then entered the leave that should have been processed.

This was a pretty stressful time for me, but having the Yoswan team to help me through it made things so much easier. Being told ‘this is how you do it in the future. We’ll work through it and in the end it’ll all be fine’ was really reassuring.

And they were right. With Yoswan’s help it all worked out OK.

The bottom line is, the value you get form working with Yoswan is worth every penny.
